visual identity

A logotype and visual identity built from my great-grandfather Pete’s handwriting.

The original script is preserved and adapted for legibility - keeping all its quirks and irregularities intact while making it usable across digital and print. The mark became the foundation for a broader editorial system, used across Substack headers, post graphics, and supporting materials.

The layouts around it stay simple and the typography restrained, so the handwriting stays the focal point. It’s something personal, but it still functions as a real, usable brand.
